When Cassandra Nova invaded Genosha, Jean Grey enlisted Tony Stark's help to create a supply of countless replicas of Magneto's Helmet to force into the people under Nova's sway to break them free. The helmet along with her powers allowed her to defeat him with ease. Rogue later used the helmet to block out the psychic attacks of the clone Red Skull. He kidnapped Magneto and removed his helmet so he could torture him telepathically. When a clone was created of the Red Skull with Prof X powers. The Omega Gang ambushed Professor X, knocking him out with a baseball bat and clamping his head in a thought-proofed helmet based on Magneto's helmet designs that Kid Omega had found on the internet. However during the conflict Magneto declined and destroyed the helmet once again. ĭoctor Doom rebuilt it and brought Magneto to Latveria to battle him in a psychic fight. He read Captain America's mind realising for the first time not all humans hate mutants he decided to destroy it and let them take him in peacefully. He realized he would need protection from psychic beings like his old friend Professor Charles Xavier. Magneto designed his special form of headgear to protect him from all forms of Telepathy and Psionic Energy.
